BOTOX® cosmetic treatments & prices
What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a formulation of botulinum toxin type A. It is derived
from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. This bacterium produces a protein
that blocks the release of acetylcholine and relaxes muscles. Botox cosmetic
is the brand of botulinum toxin made by Allergan and is FDA approved for the
reduction of glabellar lines (frown lines). Botox is the most studied brand
of botulinum toxins and has been used to treat over 1 million patients
worldwide for more than 11 years.

What is the BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure like?
The process
is very simple. First, you will consult with one of our doctors to insure
that you are a candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic and to allow the doctor to
pre-examine your
muscle structure.

Next, each area being treated is injected with BOTOX® Cosmetic 3-5 times
using a very small, very fine needle. Finally, an ice pack is applied to the
area(s) that were treated and...Whaaaa La! Process complete!

Will I see results immediately?
No. Most patients see results within 3 days. However, it can take up to two
weeks before the muscles treated become relaxed enough to see results. For
this reason, you must exercise the treated muscle(s) several times a day to
instigate results.

How long will results last?
The first treatment will last about three months. The second and subsequent
treatments can last up to several months.

Who is NOT a good candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic?
Women who are pregnant or lactating
People with muscle disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Persons taking Aminoglycoside antibiotics
Anyone allergic to BOTOX® Cosmetic components or human
albumin.
Starting a Fitness Program
5 Tips to Help You Stick With It!
Although
we all know the benefits of regular exercise, most American adults
don't get enough physical activity, and over 25% of adults are not
active at all. Here are some tips to help you start (and stick to) an
exercise program:
1. Set Goals.
Set goals to monitor your progress. Your goals should be challenging, yet achievable.
2. Make Appointments to Exercise.
Schedule exercise appointments in your daily planner, and keep them.
3. Use the “5-Minute Compromise”.
On days when you do lose motivation, try to exercise for just 5
minutes. Chances are, you’ll feel great and want to continue.
4. Involve Friends and Family.
Find a “workout buddy” with whom you can exercise or chat about your
progress. Plan fitness activities for the whole family.
5. Reward Yourself.
As you reach your goals, reward yourself. You deserve it!
